Karnataka is famous for traditional folk embroidery  called kasuti. Kasuti history dates back to the Chalukya period. The term kasuti is derived from work Kai meaning hand in kannada and Suti meaning cotton, indicating an activity practiced using cotton and hand. Kasuti work is very intricate done with a single thread.

Punarjeevana presents traditional kasuti motifs such as  gopura, chariot, palanquin, lamps, conch shells, menthi on dhotra reversible saree.
